Heard the learned Counsel representing the parties. 2.
The petitioner is desirous of pursuing a medical course in Kyrgyzstan. The petitioner/his father applied for education loan to the Branch Manager of State Bank of India, Nilanga Branch, District Latur, however, the said application has been rejected by the Branch Manager by
-2means of the communication dated 20/06/2023. 3.
By the said communication, the petitioner/ his father has been informed that the medical course to be pursued at Kyrgyzstan is not covered under the Education Loan Scheme. It has also been intimated to the petitioner/ his father by means of the same letter dated 20/06/2023 that in respect of any course in the countries other than the countries approved by the Bank, the Circle Chief General Manager is vested with the powers to take decision based on merit of a case and also taking into account the students academic record and employability.

There is nothing on record from where it can be gathered that the petitioner or his father has approached the Circle Chief General Manager for procuring the education loan.

In the aforesaid view, we dispose of this writ petition permitting the petitioner to approach the Circle Chief General Manager of State Bank of India seeking education loan, and once any such application is preferred
-3by the petitioner/ father, the same shall be considered and decided by the authorities concerned of the State Bank of India in accordance with its own policies and the schemes, expeditiously within a period of two months from the date of such an application is made.
