[VACATION COURT] DATE : 24.12.2020 P.C. :- 1] By this petition the petitioner is objecting to formation of the wards which according to him are not in accordance with the Bombay Village Panchayat (Number of Member, Division into Wards and Reservation of Seats) Rules 1966. He is also pointing out that the objections being raised by him are not being decided and the process of election has been undertaken. 2] We have heard the learned advocate for the petitioner who points out as to how the wards have not been formed in accordance with the Rules. 3] The learned Standing Counsel Mr.Kadethankar strenuously submitted and pointed out as to how the wards have been formed in accordance with the

4] It is a matter of record that the process of election has already commenced. Needless to state that a timeline must have been fixed since inception leading upto the stage of publishing the election program. It would be too late in the day now to consider the objections and to set the clock back. In our considered view the explanation being put forth for not approaching the Court in time is not acceptable. The process of election cannot be reversed. We are not inclined to entertain the Writ Petition for the sole reason of delay and latches.

5] The Writ Petition is dismissed.
