This matter is heard for quite some time. We expressed our disinclination.

The learned Advocate for the Petitioners submits that they would apply for the available 35 posts of Sanitary Inspector, out of which 4 posts are in the A-Grade and 31 posts are in the BGrade. They also desire to apply for the post of Sanitary Inspector in the C-Grade category. However, the said posts have still not been advertised by the Directorate of Municipal Administration, State of Maharashtra.

Certain policy decisions are best left to the State Government and it's wisdom and financial position. The State has advertised 35 posts of Sanitary Inspectors. According to the Petitioners, there are around 417 posts which would be available for the Grade-C Sanitary Inspector, which are yet to be advertised. 4.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off. 5.

Needless to state, the Petitioners would be at liberty to apply for the posts of Sanitary Inspector Grade-C when the posts are advertised, subject to their eligibility.
