DATE : 21/09/2018 PER COURT :- The instant petition is presented seeking a direction to the respondents to release the vehicle. The petitioner has been directed to pay penalty of Rs.3,56,000/- on account of illegal transportation of sand.

2] It would be open for the petitioner to tender an appeal challenging determination of penalty by the Tahsildar. So far as the aspect of release of the vehicle is concerned, it would be dependent upon outcome of the appeal proceedings those the petitioner intends to avail of.

3] In view of above, Writ Petition is disposed of. 4] If the petitioner tenders an appeal within 15 days from

-2today, the same shall be disposed of within 4 weeks from the date of its institution.
