The petitioner claims to belong to Koli Mahadev, Scheduled Tribe and has been admitted to M.B.B.S. Degree course as against a seat reserved for Scheduled Tribe category in Respondent No.4-College.

It is the contention of petitioner that the proposal in respect of verification of tribe certificate of the petitioner tendered to Respondent No.2-Scrutiny Committee is still pending and no decision has yet been arrived at. As a result of failure of the petitioner to submit validity certificate, Respondent No.3-University has not declared result of the petitioner in respect of first year examination of M.B.B.S. Course.

In the circumstances, this petition can be disposed of by directing Respondent No.2-Scrutiny Committee to take decision

{2} wp1046217.odt on the proposal tendered by the petitioner for verification of tribe certificate, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from today; and it is accordingly directed. Respondent No.3-University to declare result of first year M.B.B.S. Examination of the petitioner forthwith. If the petitioner is held eligible, he shall be permitted to prosecute further studies subject to the decision on the proposal for verification of tribe certificate, pending before Respondent No.2-Scrutiny Committee. With the directions as above, writ petition stands disposed of.
