Petitioner claims to be belonging to Rajput Bhamta caste which is included in NT category. She is possessed of certificate issued by the competent authority in that behalf. Petitioner has been admitted to engineering degree course in respondent no. 4 - college. It is further informed that the caste certificate verification proposal of petitioner is pending with respondent no. 2 Scrutiny Committee since 2013 and no decision has yet been arrived. As a result of failure on the part of the petitioner to submit validation certificate, respondent no. 3 has refused to declare result of petitioner for 4th Semester 2nd year Information & Technology course.

In the facts of this case, this petition can be disposed of by issuing directions to respondent no. 2 to take decision on the caste verification proposal, pertaining to petitioner, pending with the committee, as

WP9297.16.doc expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from today and, it is accordingly directed. Respondent no. 3 - University is directed to declare result of petitioner for 4th Semester 2nd Year Information & Technology examination forthwith. Respondent no. 4 shall permit petitioner to secure admission to the next year course, if found otherwise eligible. Admission of petitioner to the engineering degree course shall be subject to the result of the verification claim pending with the Scrutiny Committee.

With directions as above, writ petition stands disposed of. 4.
