The amount of compensation offered by the S.L.A.O. at the rate of Rs.340/- per R has been enhanced to Rs.20,000/- per R. Interest has also been granted from the date of notification under Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act instead of from date of the award. As such, the appellant appears to have a good case in appeal. 3.

In the fitness of things, the applicant is permitted to withdraw 50% of the amount in deposit, on furnishing usual undertaking to the satisfaction of learned Registrar (Judicial) of this Court. The application stands disposed of accordingly. [R.G. AVACHAT, J.] KBP
