This petition can be disposed of by issuing directions to respondents to complete the land acquisition proceedings and declare the award by determining the amount of compensation, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within eight months from today and it is accordingly directed.

On declaration of award, the respondents shall pay the amount of compensation to the petitioner so determined, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two months from the date of such declaration.
