The petitioners are claiming rental compensation in respect of their agricultural land already acquired by the respondents for public purpose. The petitioners claim that the possession of the agricultural property has been taken over in 2003, however, the award has been declared in the year 2015.

It would be open for the petitioners to tender application to respondent no.2 within a period of four weeks from today seeking rental compensation. If the petitioners tender application for determination of rental compensation, the Collector himself or through his sub-ordinate shall take steps for determination of rental compensation and pass appropriate orders, as expeditiously as possible preferably within four months from the date of receipt of application. On determination of rental compensation by respondent no.2 or any of his sub-ordinate, respondents no.4 and 5 shall pay the amount of rental compensation to the petitioners, as expeditiously as

With the directions as above, Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
