Versus
Deputy Director, Vocational Education and Training and others ..Respondents.
.....
Mr. Prakash B. Paithankar, Advocate for Petitioner. Mr. A. P. Basarkar, AGP for Respondent Nos.1 and 2. .....
CORAM : S V GANGAPURWALA AND SUNIL K. KOTWAL, JJ.
DATED : 5th JUNE, 2018.
PER COURT :- 1.
The father of the petitioner died on 16.09.2001. At the relevant time, the father of the petitioner was employeed with respondent no.1. The mother of the petitioner applied for appointment on compassionate ground in the year 2002. Thereafter, on 13.06.2005 the application was filed to take name of the present petitioner in the waiting list for appointment on compassionate ground. It is submitted that time and again, the applications were given in the year 2006-2007, but no response is given.
2.
Mr. Paithankar, learned counsel submits
14-wp-4179-2017 (2) that, on 13.04.2006 the Collector, Latur, even directed respondent no.1 to substitute the name of the petitioner in place of his mother in the waiting list for appointment on compassionate ground. No response is given by the respondent and it was only stated that the name of the mother of the petitioner is removed from the waiting list on account of over age.
3.
We have heard learned A.G.P. It appears that, no decision has been taken by respondent no.1 on the application of the petitioner for taking his name in the waiting list for appointment on compassionate ground in place of his father.
4.
Considering the above, without entering into the merits of the matter, we direct the respondent no.1 to take decision on the application of the petitioner (page nos.14 and 15), if not already taken, expeditiously and preferably within six months from today.
5.
Writ Petition accordingly stands disposed of. No costs.
