Both these applications have been filed by original claimant for condonation of delay of 177 and 148 days respectively. They want to challenge and enhance the compensation, that has been awarded under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, by the reference Court. The learned Advocate for the acquiring body as well as learned AGP strongly oppose the applications on the ground that the delay has not

Taking into consideration the fact that the lands of the applicants were acquired and they are coming from the rural area, liberal approach is taken. Hence following order.

ORDER

Delay stands condoned.

Applications stand allowed and disposed of accordingly. Registry to verify and register the First Appeals and place them for consideration on 16.10.2019.

It is clarified that both the applicants will not be entitled to get interest for the period of 177 and 148 days respectively, in case of success to their first appeals.
