Heard the learned senior counsel for the applicant and the learned A.P.P. for the respondents.

The prosecution has a case that the applicant was the middleman between the complainant and the o7cer for sanctioning maps. He used to contact them. He had demanded a bribe. However, the trap was unsuccessful for a few occasions. Therefore, as a last resort, the crime has been registered. 3.

The learned A.P.P. submits that some property documents were found in the house of the applicant. However, he did not support the Investigating O7cer and submit the explanation. He may be prosecuted for his disproportionate assets.

Considering the facts of the case, there is nothing to interrogate with the applicant in the police custody. However, the interest of the prosecution may be protected by directing the applicant to attend the concerned police station for further investigation.

For the above reasons, the applicant deserves anticipatory bail. Hence, the order:-

ORDER

i) The application is allowed.

ii) The order granting ad interim protection, dated 10.09.2024, is con=rmed on the condition that the applicant should attend the police station as and when called by the Investigating O7cer on written notice till =ling the chargesheet.
