Heard the learned counsel for the applicant.

It is a hight of not taking seriousness of the Court orders. It seems that everything is taken casually. In this case, the Court of Additional Sessions Judge had passed an order of no-cross examination. However, in the interest of justice, this Court granted an opportunity to the petitioner to cross-examine the witnesses subject to depositing the costs of Rs.20,000/- (Rs.Twenty Thousand) as compensation to be deposited within a week from the date of order. Such a serious order has not taken seriously and time had lapsed, and again he come to this Court for extending of time to deposit the costs. This seems to be a mockery of the trial under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

Every one wanted to play with the law only to protract the trial. The case was registered in 2019. Even then, the applicant is not satisfied in protracting the trial. It is also experienced that the people do not bother to pay the costs. They obey the order as per their desire, will and convenience. However, the law has to make justice.

Therefore, time to deposit cost of Rs.20,000/- (Rs. Twenty Thousand) is extended till 24.09.2024 subject to additional penalty as compensation of Rs.20,000/- (Rs. Twenty Thousand). 5.

The total amount of Rs.40,000/- (Rs. Forty Thousand) be paid to the witnesses proportionately who have not been crossexamined. 6.

Rest of the conditions of the order dated 21.06.2024 are intact.

In view of the above, the criminal application stands disposed of.
