The petitioners contend that the landed property belonging to them has been taken in possession before declaration of award and as such, they are entitled to receive the rental compensation. Though the petitioners have tendered application to determine the amount of rental compensation, the same has not been attended. 2.

The petitioners shall tender a detail application to the Collector i.e. respondent no.2 within a period of fifteen days from today requesting for determination of rental compensation. The Collector, on receipt of application shall ensure determination of amount of rental compensation either by himself or through his sub-ordinate as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months. On determination of amount of rental compensation, respondents no.4 and 5 shall pay the amount so determined to the petitioners within a period of four months from the date of such determination.

With the directions as above, Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
