Since the Society is under liquidation, surplus funds will have to be disbursed on pro-rata basis in accordance with the priorities provided under relevant rules. The petitioner has tendered an application to the liquidator for disbursement of the amount invested in the Fixed Deposit. It would be open for the liquidator to take appropriate decision in accordance with provisions of law.
