PER COURT :- The petitioner contends that, there occurred some clerical error while recording entries in the record of rights maintained under the provisions of The Maharashtra Land Revenue Code and such clerical error needs to be corrected. The petitioner contends that, proceedings under section 155 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code have been initiated. However, in spite of directions by the Additional collector, Nanded in 2015, no steps have been taken in the matter.
In the circumstances, respondent No.2, Collector, Nanded is directed to take decision either himself or may instruct his subordinates and ensure finalization of the proceedings in accordance with provisions of law, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within six months from today and it is accordingly direct ed.
Writ Petition is disposed of.
