The petitioners are aggrieved by the fact that though the possession was taken long back, no formal process for acquisition of their land has been undertaken.

Learned AGP, on written instructions, informs that now the steps are being taken to acquire the land compulsorily, since attempt to purchase the land by private negotiations has failed. She submits that the award would be passed within one year.

In view of such emphatic statement on the basis of written instructions which are taken on record and marked 'X' for the purpose of identification, the Writ Petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to approach again in case the award is not passed within one year.
