The learned AGP appearing for the State has placed on record the copy of the order issued by the Additional Collector, Ahmednagar, directing cancellation of licence issued in favour of Respondent No.10 / contractor for excavation of sand out of river bed Godavari. It was noticed by the authority that there is a violation of conditions of license and as such the impugned action has been taken. It would be open for respondent / Additional Collector to take appropriate action, if excavation of excess sand as recorded under the permit is noticed. Since the action as requested
