The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner was issued with the caste certificate by the Sub-Divisional Officer, Paithan. The same was referred to the Committee. The Committee refused to entertain it on the ground that the petitioner was permanent resident of Vaki, Taluka Akole, District Ahmednagar and the Sub-Divisional Officer, Paithan has no jurisdiction.

The learned counsel submits that the petitioner would file application with the SubDivisional Officer, Sangamner. The SubDivisional Officer, Sangamner be directed to decide the said application.

In case the petitioner files application for issuance of caste certificate to the SubDivisional Officer, Sangamner, then the SubDivisional Officer, Sangamner shall decide the same on its own merits, expeditiously, preferably within four months from the date of application. The application shall be filed within two weeks from today.

Till then no coercive steps be taken against the petitioner by respondent no. 6.
