Heard both the sides and the learned AGP.

The petitioners' grievance seems to be that for want of original service books maintained by the respondent school, their pay according to the 7th Pay Commission is not being fixed and paid. 3.

It transpires that the matter had reached the respondent - Education Officer and by communication dated 27.05.2022 (Exh.R-3) the Management and the In-charge Head Master were called upon to maintain the service book.

It transpires that subsequently even respondent no.7 by his communication dated 31.05.2022 has informed the Education Officer (Secondary) inter alia disclosing that the original service books were

not available since those were not handed over to him by his predecessor. He further sought permission to open new service books. 5.

According to us, the Writ Petition can be disposed of and would solve the problem if we direct the respondent - Education Officer (Secondary) to consider the request of the In-charge Head Master and grant permission in accordance with law as early as possible and in any case, within a period of four weeks from today. We direct accordingly. 6.

The Writ Petition is disposed of.
