We have heard the learned Advocate for the petitioners, the learned Counsel representing Respondent No.2 and the learned AGP on behalf of Respondent Nos.1, 3 and 4.

By this petition, the petitioners seek a direction to respondent No.2 to include the names of the petitioners and the names of some other villagers mentioned in application Annexure-B, in the voters list for Ward No.2 of village Ruikhel, Tq. Shrigonda, District Ahmednagar.

There is no dispute that the names of these petitioners were not entered in the State Assembly constituency list published on 25.9.2020. The State Election Commission, by Circular dated 20.11.2020, had intimated all District Collectors that the voters list updated for the State Assembly constituencies on 25.9.2020 should be utilized for conducting the elections to the various Village Panchayats.

These petitioners find their names included in the provisional voters list dated 17.11.2020. 4.

In similar set of circumstances, this Court (Coram: S.V.Gangapurwala & Shrikant D.Kulkarni, JJ.) have passed orders on 21.12.2020 and 22.12.2020, disposing of Writ Petition St. No.24305/2020 filed by Sachin Kailas Patil and Ors. Vs. The State of Maharashtra and Ors. and Writ Petition St.No.26021/2020 filed by Anuradha w/o Santosh Dhage and Anr. Vs. The State of Maharashtra and Ors. This Court came to the conclusion that as the election process has already been set in motion, no relief can be

granted to the petitioners at this stage.

We do not find any reason to adopt a different view than what has been already taken by this Court, vide the above referred orders. This petition is, therefore, disposed off.
