PER COURT :- 1) Heard. The grievance raised by the petitioner in the instant petition is in respect of prescription of reservation in favour of a candidate belonging to Scheduled Caste category for election for the post of Sarpanch of village Somthana.

2) It is contended that though there was prescription of reservation for scheduled caste category, there is no seat earmarked for scheduled caste category while issuing an order in respect of delimitation of Wards and prescription of reservation. On perusal of Delimitation and Prescription of reservation Order, it transpires that the seat is prescribed for scheduled castes woman category candidate, who can very well participate in the election for electing Sarpanch. The writ petition is devoid of substance and hence stands rejected.
