Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. 3.

The learned A.G.P. submits that the acquiring body has not yet raised demand with the Government and the demand would be raised with the Government within a period of one week. 4.

It is high time, the compensation is paid. The award is passed on 23.09.2016. For five years the compensation for acquired land as per the award is not paid to the petitioner.

The respondents shall make payment of the amount as per the award to the petitioner expeditiously and preferably within a period of six (06) months from today.

Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
