Heard all the parties. This is an application seeking directions to the authorities to give no objection for issuance of passport. The applicant has filed appeal, which is pending in this Court since 2016. The applicant is convicted for the offence punishable under section 8 of the Prevention of Corruption Act. He submits that he is well qualified and practicing Chartered Accountant. For personal reasons he wants to go abroad to see his relatives and also for attending conferences etc. He submits that it is not certain as to how much time will be required for final hearing of the appeal and his liberty is curtailed.

Considering the above, this Court finds that the applicant can be given passport as per rules, without being influenced by the pendency of the appeal in this Court.

Thus, the application stands allowed. The authorities to issue pass-port to the applicant as per rules.
