The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the father of the petitioner was working as a Safai Kamgar. He was a permanent employee. The father of the petitioner during his employment died. On 21.11.2001, the elder brother of the petitioner applied for appointment as per Lad Page Committee. His application was not considered. He had filed writ petition before this Court. This Court directed the Municipal Corporation, Dhule to consider his application, but then the same was also not decided on merits. The elder brother of the petitioner died in the year 2018. The petitioner made application within a period of one month to consider him for appointment as per Lad Page Committee.

Mr. Desale, learned counsel for respondent No. 2 submits that, in case, the application filed by the petitioner is pending, then the same would be decided on its own merits within a period of two (02) months from today.

In view of the statement of the respondent No. 2, the respondent No. 2 may decide the application of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate ground / as per Lad Page Committee on its own merits, in accordance with law and policy, expeditiously and preferably within a period of two (02) months from today.

Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
