The limited grievance of the petitioners is that the Respondent No.2 Committee has not yet decided the validation proceedings in respect of the caste claim as Rajput Bhamta - V.J. In case of Writ Petition No.12071/2016, the same is said to be pending since the year 2015 and in Writ Petition No.12041/2016, the same is pending since the year 2013.

Considering the above, we pass the following order :

a) In case the validation proceedings in respect of caste claim of the petitioners as belonging to Rajput Bhamta - V.J. is pending with the Respondent No.2 Committee then the Respondent No.2 Committee shall decide the same expeditiously on its own merits in accordance with law, preferably within one (1) year. The petitioners shall cooperate in expeditious disposal of the said proceedings.
