The caste claim of the Petitioner was invalidated. He filed Writ Petition No. 3014 of 2004. This Court confirmed the invalidation of the caste claim of the Petitioner, however, granted protection in service.

This Court under it's Judgment and Order dated 04.05.2021 in Writ Petition No. 903 of 2020 with connected Writ Petitions held that once protection has been granted by the Court, the Government Resolution dated 21.12.2019 would not operate to such an employees.

In view of that, the impugned order placing the Petitioner on supernumerary post is quashed and set aside.

Writ Petition accordingly stands disposed of. No costs.
