The petitioner has appeared at NEET UG 2023 and he is now seeking to get admission on a reserved seat but was not keen to get his caste certificate validated. He submitted the proposal as late as on 20 April 2023, and now he is in urgent need of the decision by the Scrutiny Committee.

Learned AGP, on instructions, submits that the matter has been waiting for vigilance enquiry.

The learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that since it is merely a matter of caste scrutiny as distinguished from a tribe scrutiny, certificate of validity in the name of cousin would be sufficient for the Committee to decide the proposal.

Learned AGP submits that no enquiry was undertaken when the certificate of validity was issued to petitioner's cousin and the Committee now feels that it is necessary to conduct vigilance enquiry. 6.

We dispose of the Writ Petition by requesting the Committee to make an endeavour to decide the petitioner's proposal as early as possible.
