The learned counsel for the petitioner submits on instructions that petitioner seeks to derive the benefit of Government Resolution dated 14.12.2022 and he may be permitted to approach the Committee, submit an affidavit expressly stating that he is not desirous of any decision on the caste claim, keeping open his right to derive the benefit of that G.R.

On his request the writ petition is disposed of by permitting the petitioner to approach the Committee, file an affidavit expressly mentioning that he is not desirous of prosecuting the tribe claim. If he complies with this, the Committee may permit him to do so.

Respondent Nos. 3 to 5 shall, on the petitioner submitting such compliance, consider his case in the light of G. R. dated 14.12.2022, independently. It is clarified that we have not expressed any view as regards petitioner's entitlement under the aforementioned G.R. The authorities make take decision as expeditiously as possible and in any case within six weeks of the petitioner making the aforesaid compliance.
