Heard the learned Advocates for the respective sides.

The learned AGP prays that this petition be dismissed with heavy costs.

What we find from this petition is that the Talathi is not discharging his duties, though directed by the Tahasildar to correct the mutation entry.

In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed off with a direction to the District Collector, Beed, to personally monitor the said issue and ensure that the law takes it's own course and the grievance of the Petitioner is dealt with strictly as per the provisions of law. If the District Collector finds that any of his/her subordinates are not discharging their duties, timely, he is at liberty to take recourse to the provisions of the Maharashtra Government Servants Regulation of Transfers and Prevention of Delay in Discharge of Official Duties Act, 2005 and initiate appropriate steps against those subordinates who are not performing their duties.
