The petitioner is before this Court, who is in service. He is seeking a limited direction that his caste claim of belonging to KoliMahadev Scheduled Tribe is pending with respondent no.2/Caste Scrutiny Committee may be expedited.

It is contended by the learned counsel for the petitioner that after submission of report of vigilance cell, even the matter has already been heard and only an order is to be passed by the Caste Scrutiny Committee.

Considering the submissions, we are inclined to allow this writ petition by directing respondent no.2/Caste Scrutiny Committee to pass an appropriate order on its own merit within a period of four weeks from today.

Till the decision rendered by respondent no.2/Caste Scrutiny Committee, the petitioner who is in service with respondent no.4, his services should not be terminated.

We make it clear that the protection granted by us is restricted upto the decision of the caste claim and subject to verification of caste claim of the petitioner. 7.
