These are applications for stay to the effect and operation of impugned award of learned Reference Court enhancing the compensation.

The learned AGP argued that the compensation of Rs.620/- per R awarded by Land Acquisition Officer has been enhanced to Rs.3000/- per R for dry crop land and Rs.6000/- per R for irrigated land by the learned Reference Court. The enhancement, according to learned AGP is not in tune with evidence on record.

As against this Mr.Sakolkar, learned Counsel for non-applicants submits that being money decree award cannot be stayed.

Considering the rival submissions and quantum of enhancement, following order:- i] Impugned judgment and award is stayed on condition that applicants should deposit entire amount under award in this Court within a period of 12 weeks from today.
