The petitioner has been granted furlough on conditions of depositing cash security of Rs.5,000/-, P.R. Bond in the sum of Rs.15,000/- and a surety bond in the equal amount, to be furnished by a relative of the petitioner. The petitioner is, admittedly, in open prison. He was twice released on parole on his executing P.R. bond only. It is not known as to why this time the authority concerned has directed him to furnish a surety bond, since the order does not disclose any reason in support thereof.

938 WP.1295.2023.odt In our view, directing the petitioner to deposit cash security of Rs.5,000/- and furnish a P.R. bond in the sum of Rs.15,000/- would suffice the purpose. Directing the petitioner to furnish a surety bond in the sum of Rs.15,000/- of one of his relations is, therefore, set aside. The petition stands disposed of.
