This is an application for extension of time to surrender to enable the applicants to approach the Hon'ble Apex Court. 2.
The Criminal Appeal No.130 of 2004 preferred by the present applicants against their conviction has been dismissed by this Court by Judgment and order dated 30-07-2024. However, in view of request of the applicants / appellants, six weeks time was granted to surrender so as to enable them to approach the Hon'ble Apex Court. The said period of six weeks is coming to an end on 10-09-2024 i.e. tomorrow and therefore, present application is filed for extension of time.

The learned Counsel for the applicants submits that present applicants are poor farmers and they are the only earning members in their respective families. Apart from this, they are required to maintain their old aged parents. Therefore, due to financial crises, the applicants could not arrange the amount required to file Special Leave Petition within stipulated period. Therefore, learned Counsel prays to allow the application and grant further time of four weeks to surrender and to enable the applicants to approach the Hon'ble Apex Court.

Learned APP strongly opposed the application. 5.
Taking into consideration the reasons given in paragraph no.6 of the application and as an fair opportunity to prefer appeal, application is allowed. Further time of two weeks is granted to applicants to surrender to enable them to approach the Hon'ble Apex Court.
