The learned AGP for the applicants submits that this court by order dated 06.12.2017, has directed the Collector, Osmanabad to conduct fresh inquiry pursuant to the directions given by the Lokayukta by giving opportunity of hearing to the original complainant and others. The Collector was also directed to invite objections by way of paper publication. The learned AGP submits that

2 ca 15326.2022 after the process of inviting objections was completed, this court by order dated 28.09.2018 has further extended the period to complete inquiry by six months with effect from 01.10.2018. Thereafter, the Covid situation was prevailing in the country and thus the Collector was not able to conclude the proceedings. The learned AGP for the applicants submits that the inquiry has now commenced and that he prays for further period of six months to complete the process of inquiry as of today.

Liberty is granted to the Collector to complete the process for the reasons above mentioned.

The collector is directed to complete the same within a period of five (05) months with effect from today.

4.

Both the civil applications are disposed of.
