The learned AGP for the State submits that there is a belated attempt on the part of the petitioner to invoke the writ jurisdiction. Since there is an innocuous prayer in the petition, inasmuch as, there is a direction sought to the respondent nos. 2 and 3 to decide the representation/application of the petitioner filed on 6th June, 2018, we are inclined to direct the said respondents to take decision on the representation/application of the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, however, within 4 months from today.

It is made clear that we have not expressed any opinion on merits of the contentions raised in the petition and it is open for the concerned authorities to find out the entitlement of the petitioner, after verifying the service record of the petitioner and taking into consideration the relevant provisions.
