The Petitioner has prayed that the steps be initiated to update his GPF account and the proposal for retiral benefits may be forwarded. Some further prayers have also been made in the petition.

We find that as the Petitioner has retired, it would be futile to keep this Petition pending. Instead, it would be beneficial to the Petitioner if we direct Respondent No.3/Assistant Commissioner, Social Welfare Department, Nanded, to initiate such steps as are permissible in law to ensure

*2* 42wp11226o23 that the management of the Institution follows the due procedure for redressing the grievances of the Petitioner and forwards the requisite proposal for clearance of his retiral benefits. We order accordingly.

With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed off. Respondent No.3 shall initiate effective steps by following the due procedure laid down in law and tender a compliance report to this Court in the first week of November, 2023.
