Proposal for according affiliation in pursuance to issuance of letter of intent by the State of Maharashtra on 11th July, 2016, is under consideration before the Quality Council of India and, no decision has been taken on the proposal as yet. Petitioner submits that the Quality Council of India pointed out certain deficiencies in the proposal and those have been removed by the petitioner and accordingly, compliance report has been forwarded. It is further stated that the academic activities are held up as a result of failure of the Quality Council of India to take decision in respect of grant of affiliation in respect of additional seats and additional divisions. 2.

In view of the facts and circumstances stated above, this petition stands disposed of with directions to respondent no. 2 to take decision on the proposal tendered by petitioner for grant of affiliation, as expeditiously
