This Court in Writ Petition No.11156 of 2018 vide order dated 23.1.2019, directed the respondent - institution to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 9.3.2018, for appointment on compassionate ground, on its own merits within a period of six weeks from the date of said order.

Today, when the matter came up for hearing, learned Counsel for respondents no.6 and 7, on affidavit pointed out that the management considered the representation of the petitioner dated 9.3.2018 in the meeting of the managing committee dated 24.2.2019 and rejected the request of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate ground.

Mr Salgare, learned Counsel for the petitioner, on the said statement made by respondent no.7 fairly stated that the order of this Court dated 23.1.2019 is complied with and requested for liberty to

CP-654-2019 file appropriate proceedings challenging the decision of the management.

In view of the fact that the order of this Court dated 23.1.2019 is complied with, nothing survives in the present petition. Accordingly, Contempt Petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum in an appropriate proceeding challenging the decision of the management.
