The case of the Petitioners is that their lands have been consistently submerged on account of a bend in Manjra River. The contention is that for the last 10 years, fertile soil has got washed away due to submergence of the land. A panchnama was carried out on 11.7.2023. Their representation dated 26.6.2024, is pending before the Deputy Collector, Assistance and Rehabilitation, Office of the District Collector, Beed.

Considering that there is a mechanism by which such cases can be looked into by the Rehabilitation Officer, we direct Respondent No.3 to deal with the representation of the Petitioners in accordance with law and the policy applicable. A decision may be arrived at and the same may be communicated to the Petitioners,

With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed off. 4.
