The applicant prays that this Court should issue a direction to the election authorities to conduct the elections to the post of Sarpanch of the Village Panchayat in pursuance to paragraph 14 of the order of this Court dated 27/09/2017. 2.

This Court has observed in paragraph 14 that if a fresh election is conducted, the same would be subject to the result of this petition.

In view of the above, I do not find that further orders are required to be passed in the form of a direction to the election authorities. This Civil Application is, therefore, disposed off. Needless to state, the disposal of this Civil Application shall not be interpreted to mean that this Court has expressed a view that election should not be held.
