The petitioner, who was granted admission against an open seat although he was from OBC category, is aggrieved by withholding of his result by respondent no. 3-University, having completed the pharmacy course from respondent no. 4-college, on the ground that there has been no approval to his admission by respondent no. 2-The Admission Regulating Authority.

The learned advocate for respondent no. 2, on instructions, submits that indeed, the petitioner was accommodated against an open seat, albeit he was from OBC category. Even the list of students with discrepancies (academic year 2018-2019) (Exh C), expressly mentions that the petitioner was accommodated against an open seat. This is a printout from the website of the respondent no. 2.

This being the only reason for the respondent no. 3-University to withhold the result, we dispose of the writ petition directing respondent no. 2 to immediately grant approval to the petitioner's admission and without waiting for that respondent no. 3 University shall declare the result. 5.
The learned advocate for respondent no. 3-University submits that he is in physical possession of the result in a sealed envelope, which he is ready to handover to the petitioner. Let him to do so. 6.
The petitioner has received the envelope.

The writ petition is disposed of.
