Mr Deshmukh, learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that the actual date of the birth of the petitioner is 2.1.1960. The date of birth was wrongly recorded as 28.8.1958. When the proposal was sent for pensionary benefits, at that time the mistake was realised. The said mistake has resulted into serious prejudice to the petitioner. The other attending evidence clearly establishes the actual date of birth of the petitioner as per communication dated 28.7.2016. 2.

It is after the retirement of the petitioner, the petitioner has made application for correction of date of birth in the service record. At such belated stage, the case of the petitioner cannot be considered. Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
