We have heard both the sides.

The petitioner, who was in the employment of respondent no. 7Municipal Council, is awaiting decision by respondent no. 1 in respect of his claim for medical reimbursement. Since the claim has been beyond an amount of Rs. 1,00,000/-, the Chief Officer of respondent no. 7 by communication dated 01.04.2016 (Exh. H) seems to have forwarded the requisite proposal to respondent no. 1 for grant of administrative approval. A similar requisition has been forwarded by the respondent-Collector addressed to respondent no. 1 dated 30.05.2016 (Exh. I). 1/2

We dispose of the writ petition directing respondent no. 1 to take appropriate decision on the aforementioned requisitions (Exhs. H and I), if those have not already been decided, as expeditiously as possible, and in any case within eight weeks. If the petitioner is found entitled to have some reimbursement, necessary approval shall be extended to that extent and shall be paid to him within six weeks of the decision to be taken by respondent no. 1.
