Vide the present writ petitions the petitioners seek directions against the respondents to decide and consider the claims of the petitioners for freedom fighter pension, in view of the recommendations made by the Zilha Gaurav Samiti. 2.

It is the case of the petitioners that, Zilha Gaurav Samiti has recommended the claims of petitioners for grant of freedom fighter pension, however, the High Power Committee has not taken any decision as yet.

We have heard the learned A. G. P. also.

There is nothing on record to show that the claims of the petitioners for grant of freedom fighter pension have been decided either way.

In case, the claims of the petitioners for grant of freedom fighter pension are still pending with the High Power Committee, then the High Power Committee shall take decision upon the same on its own merits, in accordance with law and policy expeditiously and preferably within a period of nine (9)
