This is an application filed by the wife seeking a direction to pay her the amount of Rs. 15,00,000/- deposited by the respondent-husband who is the appellant, pursuant to the order under challenge, towards alimony. 3.

This Court by the order dated 19.04.2022 had directed the husband to deposit an amount of Rs. 15,00,000/- out of total arrears of Rs. 50 lac as a condition for granting stay to the direction regarding payment of permanent alimony.

Though several things have been submitted by both the sides, since it is a matter of alimony, we allow the application and permit the applicantwife to withdraw the amount subject to the usual undertaking that in case the appeal is allowed, the applicant-wife shall deposit the amount in this Court within 15 days from the date of the order. 5.
