CORAM: RAVINDRA V. GHUGE, J.
DATE :- 27th August, 2018 Per Court:
The learned Advocate for the contesting Respondents points out that in view of the judgment of the Honourable Supreme Court in Gurudassing Nawoosing Panjwani vs. State of Maharashtra and others, 2016 (2) SCC 213, a second revision under Section 257 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code is available to the Petitioners. The learned Advocate for the Petitioners submits that though this petition has not been admitted, he has been granted relief by way of interim protection on 05.11.2012. The said relief may be continued for a period of 16 weeks so as to enable the Petitioners to approach the Revisional Authority.
*2* 39wp9153o12 The learned Advocate for the Respondents strenuously opposes the request for continuance of the interim relief. In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed of with liberty to the Petitioners to approach the Revisional Authority on or before 30.09.2018. If a revision is filed within this period, ad-interim protection granted by this Court on 05.11.2012 would continue till 31.10.2018 so as to enable the Petitioners to prefer an application for interim relief. The said application would be considered by the Reivisional Authority on it's own merits without being influenced by the order of this Court dated 05.11.2012. All contentions of the litigating sides are kept open. kps (RAVINDRA V. GHUGE, J.)
