PER COURT :- Since the proposal for validation of the caste certificate issued to the petitioner is pending with the scrutiny committee since 2004, it would be appropriate to direct the scrutiny committee to take decision in the matter as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of six months from today and it is accordingly directed. The grievance raised by the petitioner in the instant petition being of an interlocutory nature and since the proposal is pending with the scrutiny committee, we do not propose to exercise extraordinary jurisdiction under article 226 of the Constitution of India. Keeping option of the petitioner to raise the grounds and contentions which are raised in the instant petition, at an appropriate stage, open, writ petition stands disposed of.

The petitioner assures to appear before the scrutiny committee on 24.4.2017.
