Mr. Golegaonkar, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, the petitioner has appeared for NEET examination. The validation proceeding is pending since February 2021. Same is not decided. The admission process will commence within short period.

The learned Additional Government Pleader appears for the respondents/state and submits that, the petitioner has obtained the caste certificate in April 2013 and submitted the proposal only in the month of February 2021 for verification. 3.

We cannot encourage such petitions. The result of the NEET examination is already declared long back. We cannot issue positive directions against the Committee to decide the

2 wp 12872.21 proceeding within stipulated period. The committee may, if, it is possible for it, endeavour to decide the proceeding on its own merits, in accordance with law, expeditiously. The petitioner may appear before the Committee on 26.11.2021. 4.

In the light of the above, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
