This petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of habeas corpus for production of Rutuja Vilas Chavan, daughter of the petitioner.

Today, investigating ofÏcer Sudhakar Narayan Chavan, Assistant Police Inspector, Shivajinagar Police Station, Latur, has produced the girl before us. She has given statement to the investigating ofÏcer that as her marriage was fixed by her parents and she did not want to marry, she has left her residence with one Kiran Ramesh Kotlawar resident of Ambhulga, Taluka Mukhed, District Nanded, with whom she was acquainted while taking education. They had a love affair. Presently she is staying along with him at Ranjangaon in live-in-relationship.

Kiran Ramesh Kotlawar is present before the Court. On SVH

2 CrWP-1258-25.odt interaction with him he has disclosed that he is willing to marry with the girl and he is doing job at Hotel Grand Vista as an accountant. He has done ITI course in Computer Operation. 4.

Admittedly, the girl is major and her age as on today is 18 years and 04 months. Therefore, she is entitled to go anywhere as per her wish.

In view of her production, the purpose for filing of this petition is served. Criminal Writ Petition is, therefore, disposed of. 6.
